I noticed a couple of reporting inconsistencies when I ran the attached “AS OF” reports from the MFG Module “Inventory View” for SPF CO 92. Your team will likely need to review and research so that we can discuss and correct. The reports were run for all items with a “Category” designation of “1232 = McCormick Vanilla”.
The *+first tab+* in the attached file is the report for Category 1232 items with the *+beginning and ending “AS OF” dates both equaling “2/28/19”.+*
The *+second tab+* contains the same report except that the *+beginning date was changed to “1/1/19” so the reporting range is 2 months.+*
I would have expected the “Closing QTY” from both reports to be the same, but it was not. The “closing quantity” from Tab 1 (beginning and ending dates = 2/28/19) was 85,991.5 lbs. per Column AB Row 161. I believe that closing quantity to be correct.
The “closing quantity” from TAB 2 (range of dates beginning 1/1/19 and ending 2/28/19) was 146,179.2 lbs. per Column AB Row 476, a difference of 60,187 lbs. compared to the TAB 1 closing quantity. When I look at the activity columns from the report on TAB 2, I notice a column for “Invoiced Qty” but none for “Shipped Qty”. At SPF, we shipped product that was not invoiced because it had zero cost. I believe that the programing logic related to shipments is different in the MFG Module than in the INVENTORY Module. The “AS OF” reporting out of INVENTORY considers “Shipped Products” as a reduction to units on hand.
Steps:
1. Go to Manufacturing > Inventory View
2. Proceed to As on Date by Lot
3. Select a Date range and enter same date both in From and To (From 28 Feb'19 to 28 Feb'19)
4. Download the report
5. Again search the same using a different Date Range (say 1st Jan to 28 Feb)
6. Download the report
7. Compare both the reports
Issue: The Closing balance is not matching
Expectation: Closing balance should match in both cases
