[~ajith.dharan] , in the item configuration. Setup tab , cost tab , right next to M2M check box, we need to provide a dropdown with 3 values - Add , subtract , no adjustment.
*Business Logic*
This will help to compute which item of the type "other cost" will impact M2M calculations.
Advantage - User will not define per contract which cost impacts contract price in M2M in which direction.
Based on the M2M view , user can decide using this new dropdown, if this cost should be added, reduced or should not make any impact for computing M2M.
After that any item if selected in cost tab of contract , we will not expect them to click on the M2M check box (This column will be removed) . Based on what they have selected in this configuration, M2M cost will be computed.
Say there are 2 costs, Freight and insurance . User selects add in this new config for both these items and selects them costs in cost tab. Freight is 3cts/lb and insurance is 1 cts/lb. M2M cost column will show the cost as 4cts/lb meaning the contract cost will be contract price + 4cts.
Revised requirement:
Replace M2M check box with drop down list. Values are No, Add, Reduce. Default to No.
Update the stores and database views which include this field.
