Description This issue relates to i21 Help Desk ticket. Click the link below to go to Help Desk ticket.   [ - Though the Lot-tracking for item is setup as 'Serial Number', user should be able to enter manually|http://helpdesk.irely.com/iRelyi21live/i21/#/HD/Ticket/?ticket=] Even though lot-tracking for an item is setup as 'Serial Number', customer (Wholesome Sweeteners) need the flexibility to be able to enter their specific Lot ID manually in the inventory receipt screen.   This is because sometimes Wholesome Sweeteners may receive the lot (e.g. Sugar lots) into their other warehouses across US and then later transfer it to Cadeco manufacturing facility. Since our i21 system is going to be used only at Cadeco manufacturing facility they need to use the same lot that was assigned while receiving at other warehouse. However when they receive the same item directly from vendors (85% of the time) into their manufacturing facility then system should auto generate the lot id.   They need this functionality for their go live. Please plan for this as part of the initial release of 17.1.     Solution:   We will replace values of "Lot Tracking", Lot -Manual & Lot - Serial with just "Yes". So the only values will be Yes & No. Default is No.   If user input a lot number on receipt - system uses it.   If user does not input a lot number - system generates one.   Lot number generation has to be setup in Starting Numbers - otherwise system gives an error.   Write scripts to update data for existing customers.
