GL entries allow debits and credits on same line. It should not allow both.
Suggestion - if you start entering a debit if there is already a credit, the debit should be set to 0 and vice versa. It is very cumbersome to adjust entries.
Example - MTM entry is duplicated each month, but the debits and credits vary based on results. To update the entry if there is a credit and should be a debit, you have to zero out the credit, and then enter the debit.
