1. Pull up a customer in sales > customers.
2. Go to customer tab > taxing.
3. Under the exemptions tab, hide or remove customer location.
4. Click view to save as default or save as new tab.

Error: this view company default is not compatible anymore and had been deleted. See the screenshot in the comment.
