We need to add an Edition field to the license key for 23.1. This will have 2 options (Standard and Enterprise) and default to "Standard".
We will use this to include more advanced features that don't make sense as an Add-On.
We will also need a way to flag features similar to how the Add-Ons work when the Enterprise edition is selected. One example is faster performance for our larger enterprise customers. This is similar to how Microsoft licenses SQL Server with the (Standard and Enterprise) editions. One of the big benefits of SQL Server Enterprise is higher scalability and performance.
We will start with performance governing but we plan to include many other things over time to the Enterprise edition.
