I tried setting up the Current Year Earnings how it is shown on: [http://inet.irelyserver.com/display/FRD/RE+and+CYE+implementation+on+Balance+Sheet+Detail+report]
The screen shots are from Jackson Farmer's TE as they are wanted to upgrade to i21 but wont until their Balance sheet is correct. In comparing it to their Origin Balance sheet the only thing wrong is the Net Profit/Loss as the retained earnings row now fixes the the RE issue. Country Partners is looking for a fix, for this current month end and they had scheduled to upgrade tonight.
Here is what I have:
!pastedImage_d46747_0.png! When trying to create a row calculation, those rows cannot be used in the calculation:
!pastedImage_d46747_1.png! !pastedImage_d46747_2.png! !pastedImage_d46747_3.png! I have tried a couple work arounds so that this does not need to be a blocker but they haven't worked, so please let me know if you have any ideas that will work instead so it doesn't not need to be a blocker.
This is what I have tried:
Trying to trick the row calc by having the Current Year Earning rows set to filter accounts, then making the calculation, then switching back:

Another thing I tried was to Do (Revenue since the beginning of time) - (Expense since the beginning of time)- (Retained Earnings) which should give me the correct number, but I cannot use retained earnings in a calculation either. Not sure if retained earnings would need to be used in a calculation at any point, this was just my idea for trying to get the report correct.
