Please follow below steps to replicate:
1. Create a contract with future Start and end date ( ex: Start date May 1st and end May 31st)
2. Change the start date to current date
3. Create a Storage Settlement and Post it for half of the quantity
4. Change the contract date back to the Future date.
The contract Balance is not reduced to the extent of storage ticket
