Axel, I reviewed Item Contracts with Mike Noe and he pointed out that we need a contract value (and remaining value) for a dollar contract. Given that we're not picking items, the contract screen is not able to derive the value of the contract based on item price x qty so we need to provide a Contract Value field that appears if the Category is set to Dollar.
This field should be used to create the prepayment and the prepay should be against the contract only. In other words don't list any categories on the prepay, just a line item to the contract.
Also, make sure that anything that's trying to apply to the Dollar contract is shipping an item that belongs to at least one of the categories (return error if not). And, make sure that anything distributed against the Dollar contract is subtracted from the Remaining Value (item price x qty).
