As verified by Concepcion, running between 06/01/2017 - 06/30/2017, the running balance should be ending balance of 5/31/2017. While running between 6/30/2017 - 7/31/2017, the running balance should be 6/29/2017. Therefore, it is not necessary that the date should always begin with month end.
Additionally, activity of the date range regardless if its only payment should show on the report.
